Hello, and welcome to the official Cailleach Candles blog! I’m so excited to have you here as I start this new chapter of sharing more about my journey, my passions, and, of course, my candles.
Who I Am and Why I Started Cailleach Candles
My name is Nola, and I’m the owner and creator behind Cailleach Candles. This business started as more than just a way to make beautiful, hand-poured candles—it’s a deeply personal part of my story. I live with clinical depression and this is the little light that keeps me afloat.
My dog, Gus, played a huge role in inspiring me to create, especially during a time when I was navigating my mental health, moving house and everything else. He’s my constant companion and the heart behind some of my candle designs.
Cailleach Candles has grown into a space where I can share my love of cozy moments, the magic of unique scents, and the joy of bringing light into people’s lives (literally and figuratively!).
What You’ll Find on This Blog
I’m starting this blog to connect with you in a more personal way and share the behind-the-scenes life of a small business owner, along with tips and insights I’ve picked up along the way. Here are some of the topics you can look forward to:
• All Things Candles: From tips on making your candles last longer to choosing the perfect scent for any season.
• Adventures with Gus: Stories about life with my furry best friend, and how he inspires everything I do.
• Wellness and Self-Care: Ideas for creating calm, relaxing spaces with candles and crystals and how they can be a part of your self-care rituals.
• Small Business Life: Lessons learned, challenges faced, and tips for fellow entrepreneurs who might be on a similar path.
Why This Blog?
Cailleach Candles has always been about more than just selling products—it’s about creating moments of joy, comfort, and connection. This blog is another way for me to connect with you, share stories, and celebrate the simple pleasures that make life meaningful.
